About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead overall management of DePuy Synthes sales strategies, activities, operations, and budgets within the geographic area
  • Drive sales for the DePuy Synthes Trauma portfolio while exceeding sales goals and objectives
  • Implement selling strategies and strategic sales plans
  • Demonstrate product and procedural knowledge, clinical and procedure excellence, product expertise, and new product introduction experience
  • Recruit, hire, and retain qualified sales professionals across the region
  • Provide performance management, mentorship, and career development for the sales team
  • Work with Consultants to set and achieve territory objectives, driving patient care and customer satisfaction
  • Acquire new accounts and surgeon relationships and assist Consultants in penetrating existing accounts with new technologies
  • Monitor healthcare market dynamics, industry trends, customer segmentation, customer data, and buying processes
  • Manage a product portfolio and sales, growth, income, profitability, assets, and budgets
  • Manage regional business expenses with fiscal responsibility
  • Build relationships with key surgeons, accounts, and associations to identify opportunities and drive collaboration
  • Participate in compliance activities and support integrity, ethics, training, and applicable policies and regulations

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • BA/BS degree or equivalent in an applicable field such as Business, Marketing, or Finance
  • MBA preferred
  • At least 8 years of relevant business and/or leadership experience
  • Minimum of 2 years of management experience, coaching, or mentoring others
  • Participation in a Sales Leadership Development Program preferred
  • Demonstrated leadership capability, including ability to lead through change
  • Excellent listening, written, and oral communication skills
  • Good organizational skills and ability to make impactful sales presentations with positive results
  • Clinical and procedure excellence, product expertise, and new product introduction experience
  • Strong customer understanding and ability to use customer data and knowledge to drive the buying process
  • Ability to mentor and develop field sales talent
  • Track record of success in a complex organizational environment and enterprise mentality decision making
  • Demonstrated leadership in business planning and project management with documented sales achievements
  • Valid driver's license issued in the United States
  • Willingness to travel significantly (30%–50%)
  • Must live in the current geography or be willing to relocate
