About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Achieve agreed objectives and sales targets outlined in the annual performance cycle
  • Promote products to key customers and stakeholders in secondary care within the allocated geographical region
  • Lead management of the Specialty customer
  • Develop comprehensive territory business plans
  • Identify high-value opportunities, grow new business, take competitor share, adopt new technologies, and maintain key customers and core business
  • Manage and develop accounts and own Company-customer relationships
  • Work with the Regional Sales Manager and colleagues to define commercial requirements
  • Share marketplace insights internally to shape future business plans
  • Maintain competence in the procedural focus area and product portfolio
  • Act as an ambassador for Johnson & Johnson Medical Devices aligned to its Credo
  • Analyse account strategies and plans using internal and external systems and data
  • Develop, deploy, and maintain tactical account business plans aligned to business and customer objectives
  • Prepare customer meeting plans and contingencies to deliver account plans and milestones
  • Build relationship networks to identify mutually beneficial opportunities to sell surgical technologies
  • Present brand value propositions and value-added customer solutions
  • Collaborate with colleagues across Johnson & Johnson Medical Devices and commercial teams
  • Respond to support requests from customer-facing colleagues and share customer information through the CRM system
  • Contribute to regional business planning goals
  • Lead customer training activities
  • Partner with Professional Education to develop and maintain KOL relationships and champion the Professional Education offering
  • Understand technical information relevant to procedures and product platforms
  • Maintain current market and industry knowledge

Requirements

  • Proven successful track record in selling, ideally within the Medical Devices sector/ Orthopaedics
  • Proactive networking skills and ability to expand networks continually

  • Team player who actively engages and collaborates across functional boundaries
  • Influencing and business partnering skills
  • Ability to understand stakeholder requirements, analyse requirements, and develop strategies that drive technology adoption

  • Ability to build trust with customers by asking probing questions and acting in a consultative manner
  • Knowledge of account management, analytical reasoning, customer analytics, healthcare trends, market knowledge, market research, Oracle Customer Data Management (CDM), problem solving, sales, solutions selling, sustainable procurement, and vendor selection
