About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead execution of the U.S. GDCL supply chain network
- Lead all aspects of U.S. Short-Term Exception Management (STEM) processes, governance forums, and communication cadence
- Monitor potential supply disruptions and proactively identify risks to product availability, customer orders, and surgical case fulfillment
- Collaborate with Global Supply Planning and Manufacturing partners to translate supply impacts into actionable U.S. market plans
- Develop and present shortage mitigation recommendations and prioritization strategies
- Lead weekly STEM reviews and Commercial-facing supply forums
- Serve as the primary supply chain point of contact for the U.S. Commercial organization
- Communicate product availability, incoming supply, allocation decisions, and service recovery plans
- Support high-priority customer situations, competitive conversions, instrument set requirements, and strategic commercial opportunities
- Manage manual allocation, order-to-order reallocations, demand prioritization, allocation rules, order restrictions, and exception processes
- Optimize inventory deployment strategies
- Drive performance against OTIF, Customer and HUB Backorder, Set Fulfillment, and Supply Recovery Performance metrics
- Conduct root cause analysis and lead corrective and preventive actions
- Improve STEM processes, decision-making frameworks, supply chain responsiveness, reliability, process optimization, and Last Mile execution
- Analyze supply, demand, inventory, and service performance data
- Develop scenario analyses and evaluate tradeoffs during supply-constrained situations
- Create executive summaries, dashboards, and presentations
- Support monthly S&OP and supply review processes through data analysis and issue escalation
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's undergraduate degree in engineering, business, operations, supply chain disciplines, or a related field
- 4+ years of experience in Supply Chain, Demand Planning, Inventory Management, Operations, Logistics, or related disciplines
- Experience supporting supply disruption management, allocation processes, or demand prioritization activities
- Proven ability to influence stakeholders across multiple functions and organizational levels
- Proficiency using Microsoft Office
- Experience with SAP, ERP systems, and Order-to-Cash processes
- Strong analytical and data visualization capabilities
- Strong business acumen and customer focus
- Ability to make decisions in ambiguous and rapidly changing environments
- Excellent communication and executive presentation skills
- Demonstrated ability to influence without direct authority
- Strong stakeholder management capabilities
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience in Power BI, Alteryx, and PRMS/AS400 or comparable analytics platforms preferred
- Operations competencies inclusive of product innovation, planning, customer and logistics services, and manufacturing
- Experience supporting Joints Reconstruction or orthopedic medical device portfolios preferred
- Experience navigating regulatory, quality, and compliance requirements in MedTech preferred
- Up to 10% domestic and international travel
- English required
- APICS/CSCP, CPIM, Lean, or Six Sigma certifications are a plus
