About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Develop and implement end-to-end Drug Delivery Systems Procurement strategies aligned with business and sector needs
  • Lead sourcing strategy, negotiations, contract implementation, and performance against established targets
  • Conduct cost-driver analysis, risk analysis, mitigation, analytics, and category value creation activities
  • Lead key supplier relationships and communicate changes to category strategy
  • Implement joint collaborative initiatives and supervise supplier contract negotiations
  • Partner with senior internal stakeholders in Supply Chain and R&D
  • Influence the agenda for supplier selection for upcoming new product developments and introductions
  • Lead and prioritize Procurement segment-specific initiatives
  • Provide updates to Global Procurement Leadership

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s / University or equivalent degree is required
  • MBA or equivalent Master’s Degree is helpful
  • Minimum 12 years of relevant work experience
  • High proficiency in core Procurement skills, including Category Management, Supplier Performance and Relationship Management, Supply Market Analysis, Should-Cost Modelling, Negotiations, and Contracting
  • Strong experience in Drug Delivery System Combination Devices
  • Strong experience in regulated markets, such as pharmaceuticals and medical devices
  • Expertise in contracting and understanding regulatory, legal, compliance, and commercial elements
  • Internal stakeholder management, including relationships with JNJ senior management
  • Strong leadership, vision, strategy-setting, communication, influencing, teamwork, and talent development skills
  • Strong project and organizational change capabilities
  • Multi-country and multi-sector experience preferred
  • Expert negotiation skills, ideally with formal education or training in negotiations
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with ability to present sophisticated topics
  • Judgment in developing innovative approaches and resolving issues
  • Strong influencing skills and ability to understand differing stakeholder needs
  • Consistent track record leading cross-functional teams and performing significant influencing roles
  • Flexibility and willingness to respond to changes in the external environment
  • Experience with advanced analytics, business data analysis, contract management, cost-benefit analysis, performance measurement, process improvements, risk management, spend analysis, supplier collaboration, sustainable procurement, and vendor selection
