About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead Global Professional Relations & Operations for the Orthopedics business
- Lead the global HCP engagement lifecycle from annual needs assessment and service requests through contracting, invoicing/payment, and transfer-of-value reporting
- Deliver a unified global systems landscape covering HCP engagement systems and portals, contract lifecycle management, event management, customer registration, and analytics
- Lead the Orthopedics Educational Grants and Charitable Contributions Program
- Partner with Commercial, Medical Affairs, R&D, Professional Education, Legal/Compliance/Privacy, Finance, and regional teams
- Define the global strategy, operating model, governance, roadmap, budget, and critical metrics for HCP engagements
- Define global standards and playbooks for needs assessment, contracting, fee-for-service engagements, invoicing/payment, grants, contributions, and transfer-of-value reporting
- Own the North America end-to-end HCP engagement workflow
- Lead the North America Educational Grants and Charitable Contributions workflow
- Lead global systems portfolio strategy, roadmaps, integrations, data model, and vendor relationships
- Define dashboards and analytics for effectiveness, compliance, and transfer-of-value reporting
- Harmonize processes, templates, SLAs, and training while enabling regional localization
- Define Day-1 requirements for the Orthopedics separation from J&J MedTech
- Lead launch execution for Professional Relations & Operations teams and technology in North America
- Lead global service delivery strategy across centralized and regional teams
- Oversee vendor selection, statements of work, performance, and customer concerns
- Ensure compliance with sunshine/transfer-of-value reporting, anti-bribery, and data privacy requirements
- Build and lead a global governance structure and represent the function with senior leaders and cross-functional partners
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree required
- 10+ years in professional relations, HCP engagement operations, commercial operations, or similar roles in MedTech/life sciences or another regulated industry
- Proven leadership of global, multi-region programs and standardization across NA/EMEA/APAC/LATAM
- Strong ownership of enterprise platforms such as event management, CRM, CLM, and registration systems
- Experience with global rollouts
- Demonstrated success running complex workflows spanning contracting, invoicing/payment, and regulatory reporting
- Track record leading cross-functional teams and inspiring change at scale
- Strong business intuition, partner influence, and executive presence
- Working knowledge of HCP compliance requirements and transfer-of-value reporting
- Strong communication, prioritization, and program delivery skills
- Ability to travel up to 25% domestically and internationally
- Advanced degree (MBA/MS) preferred
- Experience with Cvent, Microsoft Dynamics, Salesforce, Sirion, or equivalent preferred
- Experience with data lakes, ETL/data pipelines, and BI tools such as Power BI or Tableau preferred
- Experience leading separations, carve-outs, or integrations preferred
- PMP, Product Owner/Scrum, Agile, or similar certifications preferred
- International experience and multilingual capability preferred
