About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Execute capacity expansion projects for the DePuy Synthes Orthopaedics manufacturing network
- Deliver engineering support for large-scale manufacturing capacity projects
- Develop stable, reliable, and cost-effective manufacturing processes meeting capacity, product cost, budget, and timeline objectives
- Support delivery of robust, fully developed, and qualified orthopaedic implant manufacturing processes
- Ensure project activities comply with QMS procedures, controls, quality requirements, and applicable regulatory standards
- Collaborate with functional stakeholders on technical, validation, and regulatory strategies
- Partner with Regulatory on filings, inspections, and registrations across multiple sites and countries
- Coordinate and execute project plans with internal and external partners
- Provide technical leadership and support EHS&S policies and procedures
- Support technical collaboration across functions
- Lead project communication and stakeholder management processes
- Ensure project and program activities are consistently documented
- Transfer knowledge to developing manufacturing site staff
- Collaborate with existing functional organizations to standardize and implement best-in-class practices
Requirements
What you’ll need- Minimum five (5) years of relevant professional work experience
- Experienced knowledge of medical device manufacturing and validation
- Statistical and problem-solving engineering expertise (Six Sigma, SE or A3)
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills and ability to operate as part of a team
- Track record of innovation and adaptability in project execution
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Competence to evaluate, communicate, and act upon significant risks
- Leadership of high standards of quality and compliance
- Strong influencing skills
- Excellent written and oral interpersonal skills
- Ability to make decisions on technical and management issues
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree or University degree required
- Degree focused in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a supply-chain related field preferred
- Ability to travel up to 25% domestically and internationally
