About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Serve as a business partner to the US Power Tools Commercial team
  • Provide critical financial insights and influence business decisions impacting business objectives
  • Provide executive-level communication regarding financial results
  • Lead business partners through revenue and expense forecasting cycles
  • Evaluate internal and external risks and market drivers
  • Lead detailed analysis and communicate business results and financial drivers
  • Partner with selling, demand planning, marketing, pricing, and other cross-functional teams to identify risks and opportunities
  • Drive business awareness and decisions leading to improved business results
  • Prepare monthly sales reporting for senior management
  • Perform price/volume/mix analysis
  • Support revenue SOX compliance
  • Perform month-end and quarter-close activities
  • Support BVA and gross profit analysis
  • Support system transition activities
  • Drive operational improvements and support high-visibility projects
  • Partner with the global marketing team to evaluate financial considerations, scenario assumptions, and potential business impacts
  • Challenge business assumptions, develop alternative scenarios, and educate business partners on financial issues and concepts
  • Support and lead other Enabling Technologies within Orthopedics as needed
  • Recommend improvements to financial information supplied to upper management and guide business partners

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • A minimum of a bachelor’s degree is required; a major in Accounting or Finance is preferred
  • A minimum of three years of finance, business experience or related leadership experience is required
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office is required
  • Advanced Excel and Presentation skills required
  • Collaborative and inquisitive style while working with a cross-functional organization is required
  • Ability to apply data and strong analytics to influence executive decision making is required
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating with various levels of management and external customers is required
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail is required
  • A CPA, MBA, CMA, or other related certification is preferred
  • This role may require up to 10% domestic travel
