About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Coordinate and lead global financial close activities for quarterly and annual processes
- Execute critical financial closing system activities in SAP with Finance organizations and IT
- Lead complex R&D organizational changes in SAP and identify BUF requirements for financial reporting hierarchies and structures
- Maintain the Global by Org IM R&D financial reporting dashboard and coordinate changes with FP&A and IT
- Own financial data interface integrity, including reconciliations and SOX compliance controls
- Oversee Beacon system security processes and evaluate role design
- Act as primary liaison between Finance and the Beacon IT COE for change requests, enhancements, testing and incident resolution
- Oversee master data creation requests and collaborate with the data governance team
- Participate in system implementation, integration and transformation projects
- Identify simplification and process optimization opportunities
- Represent the IM R&D finance organization in cross-functional meetings and governance forums
Requirements
What you’ll need- A minimum of a bachelor’s degree is required, preferably with a degree in Accounting or Finance
- Technical degrees considered with strong competencies in corporate finance or accounting
- Minimum 3 years of relevant finance experience
- Demonstrated interest in finance technology or ERP systems
- Strong combination of big-picture thinking and meticulous attention to detail
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to think creatively, propose solutions and work in a global team environment
- Independent problem-solver mindset with ability to manage multiple priorities and implement process improvements
- Finance and hands-on SAP systems experience with SAP FI, CO, PS modules preferred
- CPA, CMA, MBA or other financial certifications preferred
- Pharmaceutical, medical device or healthcare industry experience preferred
- International team work experience is a plus
- Understanding of AI concepts and frameworks, including responsible and ethical AI practices
- Experience generating effective prompts to boost efficiency and productivity
