About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead monitoring, analysis, and improvement of brand quality from NPI through the customer
  • Communicate brand health information to commercial leadership to improve brand equity
  • Partner with Supply Chain, R&D, QA, commercial leadership, regulatory, regional offices, and complaint handling teams
  • Lead the strategic 10-year quality plan per brand addressing patient needs
  • Make key quality decisions on assigned brands
  • Gather short- and long-term brand performance information
  • Partner with R&D leadership to optimize new product quality and assess, accelerate, modify, or delay launches
  • Partner with Supply Chain leadership to implement manufacturing process modifications and improvements
  • Lead overarching CAPAs with NPI Quality Engineering and Customer Experience Engineering
  • Review and assess brand-wide deviations from design intent
  • Co-own product decisions with site quality leaders
  • Exercise signature authority on non-conformances and change controls for assigned product lines
  • Sign off on quality plans, control plans, major changes, and validations
  • Communicate across the organization and integrate brand quality plans into the product value stream
  • Track brand scorecard health across quality, customer complaints, supply chain, and commercial metrics
  • Adhere to environmental policies and support department environmental objectives

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • University / Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent (required)
  • 8+ years working experience in Statistics/Process Engineering/Medical Device Industry (required)
  • 3+ years experience in at least 2 of the following domains: R&D, Manufacturing, Quality
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Understanding and application of statistical methods
  • Technical understanding of manufacturing equipment and processes
  • Understanding of the NPI process
  • Experience in technical improvements processes
  • Thorough understanding of GMP/ISO regulations and validation regulations
  • Strong leadership and mentoring skills
  • Demonstrated management abilities
  • Demonstrated leadership ability over several functions
  • Business sense and experience
  • Ability to build cost savings and growth business cases
  • Up to 10% domestic and international travel (required)
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Statistics/Engineering/Science (preferred)
  • Advanced degree Technical/MBA (preferred)
