About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Maintain comprehensive understanding of provincial and municipal healthcare, medical insurance, pricing, and procurement policies related to medical devices
  • Monitor policy dynamics and inter-provincial linkage effects, anticipating spillover impacts across regions
  • Interpret policy direction and reform trends at provincial and city levels
  • Identify business opportunities and access risks, providing recommendations to GAMA leadership and business units
  • Represent DPS China to key provincial authorities, including Healthcare Security Administration, Health Commission, pricing, and related authorities
  • Build and maintain professional, credible, solution-oriented relationships with authorities
  • Support policy dialogue using company positions and evidence-based perspectives
  • Define market access and pricing strategies for assigned regions and provinces with business unit and commercial teams
  • Lead regional and provincial strategies for VBP and consumables tender projects, DRG/DIP and disease-based payment initiatives, catalogue inclusion, payment standards, and medical service reimbursement ratios
  • Engage provincial and municipal industry associations, academic and professional organizations, and other external stakeholders
  • Promote external collaboration projects and strengthen regional market access management capabilities
  • Serve as regional market access focal point and coordinate cross-functional teams
  • Provide policy interpretation, local insights, and execution guidance
  • Support alignment between central strategy and local implementation

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree or above
  • 5–8+ years of experience in Government Affairs, Market Access, or healthcare policy-related roles
  • Solid exposure to provincial and municipal healthcare policy environment
  • Experience in the medical device or pharmaceutical industry strongly preferred
  • Proven capability in policy projects, negotiations, and key account–style stakeholder management
  • Strong understanding of China’s healthcare and medical insurance system at the local level
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to operate in complex, uncertain, and high-pressure environments
  • Detail-oriented, responsible, and proactive learner
  • Capable of independent problem-solving with a positive and resilient mindset
  • Working-level English communication skills, written and oral
  • Willingness to travel frequently within the assigned region
