About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead multiple, large-scale strategic initiatives and interdependent programs aligned to business priorities and transformation objectives
  • Lead complex, cross-functional programs critical to DePuy Synthes’ growth, transformation, and operational excellence
  • Translate strategy into execution while ensuring delivery on scope, timeline, budget, and quality
  • Define project scope, success metrics, timelines, resource plans, and budgets
  • Partner with senior leaders and cross-functional stakeholders to align priorities, resolve risks, and remove execution barriers
  • Establish and govern project management standards, tools, and best practices
  • Provide executive-level communication on project status, milestones, financial health, and risks
  • Identify dependencies, risks, and change impacts; develop mitigation and change management plans
  • Lead and mentor project managers and team members
  • Ensure projects comply with internal governance, quality standards, and applicable regulatory requirements
  • Drive business outcomes, standardize best-in-class project practices, and enable sustainable organizational change

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Life Sciences, or a related field required
  • 8–10 years of progressive experience in project and/or program management within a complex, matrixed organization
  • Demonstrated success leading enterprise-level, cross-functional initiatives with significant scope and impact
  • Proven leadership, influencing, and stakeholder management capabilities at senior levels
  • Expertise in project governance, risk management, budgeting, and performance tracking
  • English required
  • Experience in construction management, capital project delivery, or facilities project leadership within regulated or industrial environments
  • Demonstrated experience managing large, complex construction projects with multiple stakeholders and external contractors
  • Strong knowledge of construction means and methods, cost controls, scheduling, and contract administration
  • Proven ability to lead safely and ensure compliance with EHS, quality, and regulatory standards
  • Preferred: Master’s degree (MBA or equivalent)
  • Preferred: Experience in medical devices, life sciences, or a highly regulated industry
  • Preferred: Experience leading transformation, integration, or large change initiatives
  • Preferred: Familiarity with portfolio management and enterprise PMO environments
  • Preferred: Demonstrated people leadership and talent development experience
  • Preferred: Advanced proficiency with Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid project management methodologies
  • Preferred: PMP, PgMP, or equivalent certification
  • Limited travel; up to approximately 20% domestic, with limited international travel as needed
