About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Establish and implement cost-effective, results-based customer service programs and innovative initiatives
  • Design core plans for projects, programs, and processes across Technical Field Service
  • Analyze trends and the competitive landscape to improve customer management strategy
  • Recommend hardware and peripheral equipment meeting customer requirements
  • Set up and adjust complex equipment for users or operators
  • Coach junior colleagues in techniques, processes, and responsibilities
  • Communicate business-related issues or opportunities to management
  • Perform system setup, movement, maintenance, repair, and de-installation
  • Analyze and manage data logs for troubleshooting and issue resolution
  • Lead the RSE Service Team in technical and non-technical activities maintaining robotic systems and system availability
  • Execute team documentation and metrics
  • Apply engineering methods and ECO processes to deliver safe, robust, and reliable service solutions
  • Participate in process improvement discussions
  • Complete ongoing learning and training on robotic systems
  • Work safely in manufacturing environments and follow safety and hazard requirements
  • Provide senior management with reports and updates on status and strategic goals
  • Collaborate with Systems Engineering, Product Support Engineering, Quality, and cross-functional teams to improve uptime and mean time to repair

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Robotics, or a related technical field
  • 4–6 years of experience working in the capital medical technology industry
  • Previous experience with software, mechanical and electrical mechanisms, and various types of robotic technology
  • Basic knowledge of working in a medically regulated environment
  • Ability to work effectively and efficiently in a group/team environment
  • Ability to conceptualize, develop, and manage projects, process improvements, and timelines
  • Experience planning and conducting activities related to developing and executing new processes
  • Proficient spoken and written English
  • Ability to develop and maintain productive relationships with co-workers and team members
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Suite applications, especially PowerPoint and Excel
  • Ability to travel approximately 80% locally/regionally and up to 20% domestically within the U.S.
  • Flexibility to work outside standard business hours, including occasional evenings, extended workdays, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to stand, sit, or kneel for extended periods
  • Ability to use electro-mechanical tools
  • Ability to lift up to 44 lbs.
