About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Establish and implement cost-effective, results-based programs and innovative initiatives supporting customer service
- Design project, program, and process plans across Technical Field Service
- Analyze trends and the competitive landscape to improve customer management strategy
- Recommend hardware and peripheral equipment meeting customer requirements
- Demonstrate setup and adjustment of complex equipment for users and operators
- Coach junior colleagues on techniques, processes, and responsibilities
- Communicate business issues and opportunities to management
- Perform system setup, movement, maintenance, repair, and de-installation
- Analyze and manage data logs for troubleshooting and issue resolution
- Independently lead the RSE Service Team in technical and non-technical activities maintaining robotic systems and system availability
- Execute team documentation and metrics tasks
- Apply engineering methods and ECO documentation processes to deliver safe, robust, reliable service solutions
- Participate in process improvement discussions
- Complete ongoing learning and training on robotic systems
- Provide senior management with reports and updates on status and strategic goals
- Interface with Systems Engineering, Product Support Engineers, Quality, and cross-functional teams to improve uptime and Mean-Time-To-Repair (MTTR)
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Robotics, or a related technical field
- 4–6 years of experience working in the capital medical technology industry
- Previous experience working with software, mechanical/electrical mechanisms, and various types of robotic technology
- Basic knowledge of working in a medically regulated environment
- Ability to work effectively and efficiently in a group/team environment
- Ability to conceptualize, develop, and manage projects, process improvements, and timelines
- Experience planning and conducting activities related to developing and executing new processes
- Proficient spoken and written English
- Ability to develop and maintain productive relationships with co-workers and team members
- Demonstrated skill using Microsoft Suite applications, with strong PowerPoint and Excel skills
- Ability to travel approximately 80% locally/regionally and up to 20% domestically within the U.S.
- Flexibility to work outside standard business hours, including occasional evenings, extended workdays, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to stand, sit, or kneel for extended periods
- Ability to use electro-mechanical tools
- Ability to lift up to 44 lbs.
- Ability to follow safety and hazard requirements in a manufacturing environment
