About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develop and implement effective category strategies and plans to meet organizational goals
- Identify, evaluate, and establish relationships with new and existing suppliers
- Ensure suppliers align with quality standards and business objectives
- Lead contract and pricing negotiations while managing risk and ensuring compliance
- Monitor and analyze procurement spend and implement cost-saving initiatives
- Identify industry innovation and bring innovative suppliers to support new product development
- Collaborate with EM Make, R&D, VSL, Engineering, QA, Finance, and other internal stakeholders
- Conduct market research and analyze industry trends and supplier performance
- Ensure compliance with corporate policies, ethical standards, and regulatory requirements
- Oversee approximately $50MM in spend supporting Electrophysiology and Neurovascular growth
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, or a related field required
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant professional work experience, with a focus on components and raw material suppliers preferred
- Good negotiation skills and experience managing supplier contracts
- Ability to engage at the leadership level with both suppliers and within J&J
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a data-driven mindset
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead cross-functional teams
- Strong Credo values
- Procurement experience working with components and products related to the Electrophysiology industry preferred
- Diverse procurement experience across category sourcing, new product development sourcing, or other sourcing areas preferred
- Professional (APICS, ISM, Six Sigma) certification preferred
- Adaptable to meet rapidly changing priorities
