About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Build, develop, and lead senior-level partnerships with strategic customers across the DACH region.
  • Jointly develop and execute long-term business plans to drive profitable growth and gain market share.
  • Serve as the primary strategic interface between Johnson & Johnson Surgical Vision and key customer decision-makers.
  • Lead execution across Sales, Marketing, Medical Affairs, Professional Education, Pricing, and Supply Chain.
  • Develop and enhance value propositions and value-added services, including patient pathway optimization, demand generation, patient education, conversion initiatives, and workflow, logistics, and process efficiency.
  • Adapt and implement strategic capabilities and solutions to address customer-specific challenges.
  • Position Johnson & Johnson Surgical Vision as a trusted partner for clinical outcomes, patient experiences, and operational performance.
  • Own overall revenue growth, portfolio mix, and profitability for strategic customers.
  • Lead complex commercial negotiations and ensure forecasting, deal governance, and agreement execution.
  • Help shape the Surgical Vision strategy for Western Europe and the DACH region.
  • Support the development of Strategic Account Management capabilities and the embedding of best practices.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • At least 8–10 years of progressive commercial experience in medical technology or healthcare solutions.
  • Proven success in strategic or key account management with complex, multi-stakeholder customers at regional or national level.
  • Track record of driving profitable growth, gaining market share, and building long-term partnerships.
  • Experience working in matrixed, multinational organizations, with the ability to influence across functions and national borders.
  • Strong commercial and financial acumen, including experience with contracts, pricing, and value-based negotiations.
  • Experience in ophthalmology, surgical devices, or premium healthcare solutions is preferred.
  • Exposure to private healthcare providers, integrated care networks, or centralized purchasing groups in Europe or the DACH region is preferred.
  • Experience designing and implementing value-added services beyond the traditional product business is preferred.
  • Ability to translate strategy into actionable, value-creating account plans.
  • Confidence engaging with customer-side leaders and internal executives.
  • Deep understanding of customer needs, challenges, and success metrics.
  • Strong ability to lead through influence in complex matrix environments.
  • Excellent negotiation, analytical, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to drive new partnership models, innovations, and ways of working.
  • Clear, compelling communication skills in English; additional European languages are a significant advantage.
