About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Train and qualify direct manufacturing personnel according to procedures, specifications, and applicable training curricula
  • Develop, maintain, approve, and monitor training plans aligned with job descriptions and business objectives
  • Evaluate training effectiveness and identify skills or training needs to improve site efficiency and personnel proficiency
  • Monitor training curricula, documents, assignments, and manufacturing operations
  • Run required and customized training reports
  • Manage Learning Management System data for OPCERT certification and recertification processes
  • Coordinate certification assessments and recertification
  • Perform training audits and Training Within Industry Process Confirmation Checks
  • Create course codes and class codes and maintain training records and documentation
  • Conduct New Hire Orientation and TWI recertification training
  • Teach, coach, and certify personnel in On-the-Job Training and TWI Job Instruction
  • Create, review, and update Job Breakdown Sheets
  • Participate in production and quality meetings
  • Support quality records, policies, procedures, external certifications, audits, and regulatory compliance
  • Participate in or lead continuous improvement initiatives and develop skills through FPx, Lean fundamentals, and Yellow or Green Belt training
  • Communicate business issues or opportunities to management and perform other assigned duties

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Ability to deliver and facilitate training and development activities for individuals and groups
  • Ability to communicate clearly and confidently, including public speaking and group facilitation
  • Ability to develop training content and review or evaluate content created by others
  • Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to evaluate jobs and create clear, concise job instructions
  • Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division)
  • Understanding of safety requirements, ergonomics, applicable ISO standards, and regulatory expectations
  • Ability to work flexible schedules as needed to support training delivery
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing environment (desirable)
  • Understanding of adult learning principles (desirable)
  • Multi-functional knowledge across different areas of production (preferred)
  • TWI Job Instructor certification (preferred)
  • OJT Trainer certification (preferred)
