About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Join a multidisciplinary team advancing innovative therapeutics for immune-mediated diseases
- Complete a defined translational research project aligned with team priorities under an assigned mentor
- Investigate disease biology, therapeutic targets, mechanisms of action, biomarkers of response or resistance, and translational data
- Generate or analyze data using human samples, experimental models, or relevant datasets
- Receive training in project-specific laboratory and analytical methods
- Plan and execute experiments
- Maintain accurate records and collect data
- Analyze and interpret results
- Troubleshoot scientific challenges
- Communicate findings clearly
- Participate in department, team, and cross-functional meetings
- Shadow key functional roles for learning and development
- Assist with interpretation, reporting, and preparation of oral and written product research results with senior clinical personnel
- Review literature and related new technologies
- Pursue leadership opportunities on specific programs or group projects
- Prepare and present an abstract or poster at the organization-wide research symposium
- Complete other assigned projects
Requirements
What you’ll need- Must be available for the entire duration of the internship program from 17 May 2026 through 06 Aug 2027
- Permanently authorized to work in the U.S. and must not require employment visa sponsorship at the time of application or in the future
- Must be enrolled in an accredited university or college program throughout the internship
- Must not graduate before, during, or after the start or end of the internship program
- Undergraduate students with a minimum of four semesters at program start or graduate students are eligible
- Graduate students must be pursuing a master’s, PharmD, Physician Assistant, PhD, or other clinical-related degree
- Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0
- Student in good standing working toward completion of an undergraduate or graduate degree
- Currently enrolled in biology, cell/molecular biology, chemistry, pre-med, nursing, public health, biochemistry, biomedical engineering, clinical pharmacology, clinical or translational research, computational biology, precision medicine, or a similar area of study
- Available to work full time (40 hours per week) for the entire internship
- Proven leadership/participation with campus and/or service programs is desired
- Detailed-oriented with good organizational skills
- Strong leadership skills
- Strong interpersonal, verbal, written communication, and presentation skills
- Ability to lead peers, project teams, and present to project and senior leadership teams
- Enthusiastic and collaborative, with ability to build relationships and work within global matrixed and cross-functional teams
- Ability to balance multiple project deliverables
- Working knowledge and/or experience using Slack and Microsoft business applications including Excel, OneNote, Outlook, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Teams, and Word
- Fluent in written and spoken English
