About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead the Sales and Marketing functions and manage the marketing partner
- Define and deliver the commercial plan across direct sales, channel partners, marketing and new product launches
- Broaden the customer base across private healthcare, biotech, pharma and research while supporting international sales growth
- Use market intelligence, competitor analysis and performance data to shape propositions, pricing and planning
- Recruit, onboard and develop commercial talent; run 1:1s, performance reviews and team meetings
- Represent the commercial function on the Senior Leadership Team and support reporting, strategic planning and group-wide initiatives
- Deliver sales targets for new customers and existing-account growth
- Prospect, lead and close high-value opportunities personally while developing the team
- Build recurring revenue and diversify the customer portfolio
- Oversee and review tenders and proposals, including NHS and public-sector procurement frameworks
- Review and approve quotations and pricing within agreed margins and discount authority
- Run pipeline reviews, maintain forecasts and report performance against target
- Identify expansion opportunities and ensure smooth handover of new customers
- Recruit and manage international distributors and resellers
- Deliver partner onboarding, product training, sales enablement and co-marketing
- Set partner targets, review performance and enforce brand, quality and compliance standards
- Own go-to-market plans for new products, including validation, positioning, packaging, pricing, launch and adoption
- Partner with R&D and Product to align the roadmap with market needs and commercial priorities
- Ensure sales teams have launch tools, training and materials
- Track post-launch adoption, revenue and customer feedback
- Create and deliver the annual UK and international marketing plan
- Manage the marketing partner, campaigns, lead generation and return on investment
- Strengthen Contronics' brand and market position
- Use AI-driven tools for lead generation, scoring, campaign delivery and competitor monitoring
- Define sales, partner and product-launch messaging and approve marketing content
Requirements
What you’ll need- At least 5 years in a senior sales or commercial leadership role
- Proven success selling technical systems or solutions where compliance, regulation or quality standards are a key buying driver
- Track record of winning new customers and growing revenue from existing accounts, including closing high-value deals
- Comfortable leading from the front, prospecting and closing personally while leading and developing others
- Strong grasp of pricing, margins and recurring-revenue models
- Experience of formal proposal and tender processes, ideally including public-sector procurement
- Experience of pipeline management, forecasting and CRM-driven reporting
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Willing to travel in the UK and internationally as required
- Full UK driving licence
- Experience in NHS, healthcare or life science markets (desirable)
- Experience of building and managing international distributor or reseller networks (desirable)
- Experience of taking new products or propositions to market (desirable)
- Experience of setting marketing strategy and managing external marketing partners (desirable)
- Familiarity with AI-driven sales and marketing tools and automation (desirable)
