About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide day-to-day HR advice and support across recruitment, onboarding, development, performance, engagement, retention and offboarding
  • Partner with the General Manager and operational leaders to deliver people priorities and practical outcomes
  • Build trusted relationships with leaders, employees and key stakeholders
  • Coach leaders in applying HR policies, procedures and sound people practices
  • Provide advice and case support on performance, conduct, grievances, employee relations and industrial relations matters
  • Support recruitment, selection, offers and effective onboarding in partnership with Talent Acquisition and leaders
  • Provide accurate people information and advice for workforce planning, resourcing, turnover, leave and labour requirements
  • Support employee development and engagement activities
  • Prepare operational HR reporting and maintain accurate employee records, systems and documentation
  • Handle sensitive employee information with discretion and confidentiality
  • Perform HR office administration and travel as required

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Qualifications in Human Resources or a related discipline
  • Proven experience in a Senior HR Advisory or HR Business Partner role
  • Strong HR generalist experience across the full employee lifecycle
  • Demonstrated experience providing practical advice and case support on employee relations, industrial relations and performance matters
  • Experience supporting leaders in a fast-paced operational environment
  • Sound knowledge of contemporary HR practices, employment legislation and relevant industrial instruments
  • Strong communication, coaching, relationship-building and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to manage priorities and deadlines while maintaining accuracy, confidentiality and follow-through
  • Collaborative approach and ability to work effectively within a national HR team
