About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develop and execute the commercial sales strategy for the Chemical Safety business unit
- Deliver sustainable revenue and gross profit growth while expanding market share
- Lead the Chemical Safety sales organization and influence cross-divisional and channel sales teams
- Translate annual business objectives into sales priorities, account plans, channel strategies, vertical-market initiatives, and performance expectations
- Generate end-user demand and pull-through sales through distribution and channel partners
- Establish operating rhythms, sales targets, forecasts, KPIs, and corrective actions
- Drive profitable growth through product mix, pricing discipline, strategic account development, new customer acquisition, cross-selling, and new product penetration
- Lead, coach, and develop Business Development Managers, Specialty Account Managers, Inside Sales, Technical Sales, and other commercial roles
- Establish and manage disciplined sales processes covering prospecting through post-sale expansion
- Ensure CRM is the single source of truth for opportunities, customer activity, forecasting, and pipeline management
- Build and maintain executive-level relationships with strategic customers, distributors, channel partners, and key end users
- Lead strategic account development, negotiations, customer reviews, and account planning
- Develop and manage distributor, channel, representative, and IMR relationships
- Monitor industry trends, competitors, customer requirements, regulatory developments, and market dynamics
- Develop market-entry, growth, and new-product launch plans with Marketing and Product Management
- Partner cross-functionally to align demand generation, product development, forecasting, pricing, operations, and customer experience
- Act as the commercial voice of the customer within the Chemical Safety leadership team
- Develop and manage the sales operating budget and allocate commercial resources
- Deliver performance against revenue, gross profit, pipeline, conversion, forecast accuracy, customer growth, CRM, productivity, and talent KPIs
Requirements

- Ability to translate business objectives into sales priorities, account plans, channel strategies, vertical-market initiatives, and performance expectations
- Ability to identify high-potential markets, customers, applications, and channels and allocate sales resources
- Ability to generate end-user demand and pull-through sales through distribution and channel partners
- Ability to establish sales targets and develop accurate sales forecasts
- Ability to lead, coach, and develop a high-performing sales organization
- Ability to conduct coaching, performance reviews, pipeline reviews, account reviews, and development discussions
- Ability to establish and manage disciplined sales processes and CRM standards
- Ability to build executive-level relationships with strategic customers, distributors, channel partners, and key end users
- Ability to develop distributor, channel, representative, and independent manufacturers' representative strategies
- Ability to monitor industry trends, competitor activity, customer requirements, regulatory developments, and market dynamics
- Ability to partner cross-functionally with Marketing, Product Management, Engineering, National Accounts, Finance, Operations, and Customer Service
- Ability to develop and manage sales operating budgets and evaluate commercial investments
