About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Develop and enhance modern web frontends for sensor applications
Hands-on development using modern frontend technologies such as Angular, React, Vue, and TypeScript
Further develop and maintain existing Java-based desktop applications using Swing/AWT
Integrate frontends with backend services via REST/HTTP APIs
Refactor and restructure existing applications with a focus on maintainability, performance, and scalability
Implement and technically evolve UI/UX concepts in collaboration with the relevant specialist departments
Optimize usability, performance, and responsiveness
Work with modern development processes and tools such as Git, code reviews, and CI/CD
Develop software in an agile Scrum team, actively contributing to technical decisions

Requirements

What you’ll need

Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a comparable qualification or vocational training
Solid experience in frontend development with modern technologies such as Angular, React, or TypeScript
Good knowledge of developing and maintaining Java-based desktop applications is an advantage
Experience integrating frontends with backend services via REST/HTTP APIs
Proficiency with modern development tools and processes, including Git, code reviews, and CI/CD
Strong understanding of UI/UX, usability, and performance and responsiveness optimization
Structured, independent approach to work, along with strong teamwork and communication skills
Very good German and good English skills, both written and spoken
