About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Own the full combatant command sales cycle from outbound prospecting through demos, proposals, negotiation, and close
- Build strategic account plans and execute Kaizen’s combatant command strategy
- Develop a repeatable approach across the territory
- Navigate rapid acquisition pathways, including OTAs, urgent operational needs processes, and component-command task orders
- Build direct relationships with staff leadership and program offices supporting combatant command missions
- Lead discovery sessions and in-person product demos for coalition and multinational stakeholders
- Partner with Proposal & Capture and Design on solicitation responses and pricing
Requirements
What you’ll need- 10+ years of Department of War experience, including experience working inside a combatant command
- 5+ years in quota-carrying sales or growth roles, with a significant majority selling into one or more combatant commands
- Full-cycle enterprise sales track record, including closing complex, multi-stakeholder deals
- Track record of closing large deals
- Fluency navigating combatant command procurement requirements, rapid acquisition authorities, and buying cycles
- Ability to demo software independently
- Proficiency with CRM sales tools such as Salesforce
- U.S. citizenship
- Current U.S. security clearance may be held; TS/SCI preferred
- Strong existing relationships within a specific combatant command, preferably SOCOM, PACOM, or EUCOM
- Experience in coalition or multinational environments or with OTA consortiums is advantageous
- Willingness to work in the NYC HQ or DC 3 days per week; applications from candidates unable to meet this requirement will not be considered
- Willingness to travel extensively, including 30–40% travel and CONUS/OCONUS travel
