About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Own end-to-end delivery of every licence application, from invoicing and readiness through licence issuance and upload into KammaSuite
- Lead, coach and develop Licensing Applications Administrators
- Run short daily and weekly check-ins to keep work moving and unblock the team
- Guarantee accuracy and GDPR compliance through a rigorous audit process
- Own weekly and monthly team KPIs and intervene early when targets are not met
- Maintain expertise and a current knowledge base on licensing requirements across councils
- Handle complex, high-risk and escalated cases
- Liaise directly with council officers to resolve unusual applications
- Identify efficiencies, improve software integration and shape new features with the Licensing Product Manager
- Process a defined, capped share of live applications while prioritising audit, KPIs and team leadership
Requirements
What you’ll need- At least 3-4 years managing or leading a team in an operations, compliance or high-volume administrative function, with a track record of hitting service and quality targets
- Exceptional attention to detail and a rigorous approach to accuracy and quality control
- Strong working knowledge of, or demonstrated ability to quickly learn, property licensing and local authority application processes
- Strong relationship skills and emotional intelligence to work well with colleagues, customers and council officers
- Experience designing or improving processes and workflows
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Comfortable working independently and managing multiple priorities across a team
- Comfortable with ambiguity and shifting priorities
- Experience within property licensing, lettings, property management, or housing compliance (desirable)
- Experience working with UK local authorities, particularly web portals and public-facing interfaces (desirable)
- Familiarity with Google Workspace (desirable)
- Experience running audits or quality assurance processes (desirable)
- Experience partnering with product teams to shape process or tooling improvements (desirable)
