About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support the Litigation team with day-to-day case management and trial preparation
  • Perform secretarial, clerical, and data entry duties for litigation matters
  • Maintain attorney calendars and track deadlines and case events
  • Schedule depositions, pre-depositions, mediations, meetings, and hearings
  • Manage documents using Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Adobe, and FileVine
  • E-file legal documents through the State E-Portal System and assist with other filings
  • Assist attorneys with deposition, hearing, and conference preparation
  • Draft basic pleadings, motions, affidavits, subpoenas, and other litigation materials under attorney direction
  • Send correspondence by email, regular mail, and certified mail
  • Communicate with clients and route inquiries to the appropriate team member
  • Set up CourtCalls and/or Zoom for hearings and coordinate virtual attendance
  • Support fact-finding projects and maintain complete, organized case files
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) required
  • 3+ years of litigation or paralegal experience preferred
  • Personal Injury Litigation experience strongly preferred
  • Familiarity with the discovery process preferred
  • Experience e-filing in state court preferred; willingness to learn required
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to manage a heavy workload in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with clients and co-workers
  • Excellent organization skills with ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage a heavy workload
  • Teamwork oriented with a positive, service-minded approach
  • Full-time availability, Monday–Friday, 8:00 am–5:00 pm
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S., as verified through E-Verify
