About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Teach ACT students onsite in an engaging classroom environment
  • Deliver innovative interventions and prep programs at a local Aurora high school during school hours
  • Teach classes 2–3 times a week from August through January
  • Teach and tutor college-bound students in a virtual setting throughout the year
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to deliver exam prep and educational content tailored to student needs
  • Prepare students for exams using teaching methods and curated ACT curriculum
  • Support students in and out of class with critical thinking and logic
  • Use data to close the opportunity gap for underrepresented students
  • Complete training and class preparation remotely from home

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Minimum ten-month commitment to the role
  • Daytime, weekday availability August through January
  • Minimum of 15 hours per week
  • Scores within the 90th percentile of the ACT
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Ability to work independently with a remote manager
  • Strive to help others achieve their goals
