About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Drive measurable student engagement, performance, confidence, exam preparedness, course satisfaction, and outcomes
- Monitor student performance data and progress using internal reporting tools
- Translate performance metrics into personalized student goals
- Conduct proactive outreach and provide targeted guidance
- Help students understand and use course materials, assignments, and Kaplan resources
- Develop study strategies and prioritize high-impact assignments for students with limited time or unique needs
- Answer student inquiries with actionable advice on study strategies, exam preparedness, resources, and time management
- Schedule and facilitate individual remote coaching meetings
- Address academic hurdles, review performance, and recommend adjustments
- Help students manage test anxiety and stress
- Maintain current expertise on NextGen Bar Exam requirements, testing characteristics, NCBE updates, and scoring rubrics
- Promote attendance at live instructional seminars and moderate student Q&A
- Track and share student feedback on content and course resources
- Gather testimonials for marketing and sales teams
Requirements
What you’ll need- Juris Doctor (JD)
- 1+ years coaching, tutoring or teaching experience (law-related preferred but not required)
- Licensed attorney — active and unencumbered
- Understanding of the structure, content, and scoring of the NextGen Uniform Bar Exam
- Understanding of subjects and skills tested on the NextGen Bar Exam and effective study and preparation methods
- Tech-savvy, self-motivated team player with problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently with a remote manager
- Ability to appear on camera for remote meetings at any time during working hours
- Ability to respond to quickly changing needs with agility and flexibility
