About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Demonstrate excellent teaching skills and engage students through in-person and virtual classroom instruction
- Serve as an industry expert and Kaplan brand ambassador for clients and students
- Mentor students and drive student success by tailoring teaching approaches to individual learning styles
- Deliver instruction based on pre-prepared lesson plans and syllabi
- Communicate regularly with product line management and operations departments regarding scheduling changes, curriculum updates, and class assignments
Requirements
What you’ll need- 4+ years of insurance services industry experience
- Previous teaching or training experience preferred, but not required
- Proficient in at least two of the following lines of authority or industry areas: Life and Health Licensing, Property and Casualty Licensing, Insurance Continuing Education, Securities Qualification Exams - Registered Representative level, Securities Qualification Exams - Principal level
- Completion of a post-secondary degree preferred, or equivalent professional designation
- Ability to travel to onsite teaching locations if necessary
- Ability to effectively utilize technology
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Adaptability to new teaching methods and alteration in course materials as needed
- Time management and organizational skills
- Strong interpersonal skills and approachability
- Reliable internet via WiFi through ethernet connection preferred
