About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Recruit, enroll, and guide diverse cohorts of students through undergraduate and graduate programs
  • Conduct outreach through outbound calls, scheduled phone appointments, emails, chat, video chat, and SMS
  • Advise students on career and program interests and align programs with academic and professional goals
  • Assist prospective students through the enrollment process
  • Manage onboarding for enrolled students and provide financial guidance from enrollment through graduation
  • Provide personalized support, degree outcome and career guidance, course guidance, and registration support
  • Orient students on admissions and catalog requirements, academic policies, registration procedures, and available resources
  • Manage a student cohort and meet enrollment and retention metrics
  • Encourage and support students progressing through advanced degree programs
  • Collaborate with academic and admissions departments and faculty to support program alignment, student success, and compliance
  • Ensure adherence to state and federal regulations, FERPA, and institutional compliance standards
  • Use technology platforms for student management, communication, engagement, and career planning
  • Maintain knowledge of online education platforms and career planning tools
  • Analyze student dashboards and reports to optimize student experience and outcomes
  • Identify alternatives and implement solutions to best support students

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree with a focus in Business, Education, Psychology, or Communications
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in counseling/advising, customer service and/or sales concierge service, or management of a large customer base
  • At least two years of experience for every year of formal education required; candidates without a degree must enroll in a degree-seeking program and maintain good standing with student loan debt (applies to internal employees only)
  • Strong proficiency in technology for student management and engagement
  • Knowledge of online learning platforms and career planning tools
  • Familiarity with student information systems and CRM tools such as Cvue, SRM (Salesforce), CampusLogic, Brightspace, Canvas, and Slate
  • Proficiency with Outlook, Microsoft Office, and/or Google Apps for Work
  • Ability to advise on academic, organizational, university policies, processes, and education funding
  • Understanding of programs of study, university policies, online platforms, student services, and academic organization
  • Excellent consultative sales and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, listening, interpersonal, time management, organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • Conflict resolution and ability to de-escalate student issues
  • Understanding of FERPA guidance and regulations
  • Ability to analyze student dashboards and reports
  • In-depth knowledge of online education platforms
  • Ability to identify and understand students' career decision-making processes
  • Self-motivated, results-oriented, resilient, compassionate, patient, persuasive, flexible, passionate, able to multitask, and detail-oriented
