About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Create 3D planning and conceptual layouts for intralogistics systems using Autodesk Inventor and Factory Design Utilities (FDU) based on predefined planning data.
- Create dimensionally accurate and traceable CAD layouts to support budgeting, quotation, and order execution phases.
- Convert approved system concepts into detailed 3D CAD drawings.
- Maintain and update order layouts based on approved changes, in coordination with Solution Design and the relevant specialist departments.
- Integrate and position standardized system components from the Kardex intralogistics library in Inventor FDU.
- Review drawings for geometric plausibility, completeness, clash-free design, and compliance with applicable CAD standards.
- Support the development and maintenance of the Inventor FDU library, particularly standardized CAD components and templates.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Several years of hands-on experience creating technical 3D CAD drawings with Autodesk Inventor is essential.
- Proven experience with Factory Design Utilities (FDU) and the creation of system layouts is required.
- Proficiency in handling large assemblies, layers, references, library components, and drawing derivations.
- Completed technical training, for example as a Technical Product Designer, Technical Drafter, or Design Engineer, or a technical degree with a strong focus on CAD.
- Excellent spatial awareness.
- High degree of drawing accuracy.
- Structured and reliable approach to work.
- Very good German language skills.
- Good English skills for working with technical documentation, software interfaces, and international CAD standards.
- Knowledge of the intralogistics sector is an advantage.
- Basic knowledge of Autodesk Navisworks, ReCap Professional, and iLogic is desirable.
