About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support a broad range of corporate tax functions, including tax provision, compliance, and planning
- Manage and/or assist in preparing quarterly and annual tax provisions under ASC 740 and related financial reporting
- Prepare and review reconciliations of tax-related general ledger accounts
- Oversee and coordinate U.S. federal, state, and international tax returns and non-income and informational filings with external service providers
- Support preparation and review of tax return workpapers aligned with financial reporting
- Review state income tax apportionment calculations, state filings, and select pro forma federal returns prepared by external advisors
- Calculate and prepare quarterly federal and state estimated tax payments
- Maintain and manage the global tax compliance calendar with third-party providers
- Partner with external advisors on the annual R&D tax credit study, including data collection, analysis, and coordination with internal stakeholders
- Partner with finance, legal, and external advisors to drive efficient tax operations and informed decision-making
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related business discipline
- 5–8 years of relevant tax experience (public accounting experience preferred or a mix of public and private)
- Strong knowledge of U.S. corporate tax principles
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Ability to research tax laws and apply sound judgment to reach well-reasoned conclusions
- CPA certification strongly preferred
- Experience with ASC 740 tax provision processes and reporting
- General understanding of international tax concepts
- Demonstrated project and program management skills
- Ability to manage multiple complex projects independently with minimal supervision
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally
