About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support the C-UAS Product Office’s Logistics Division with identifying, assessing, and recommending resolutions for fielding issues
  • Assist with logistical support studies covering funding, transportation, procurement, production, supply management, maintenance training, facilities operations, and maintenance management
  • Resolve problems reported during fielding processes and measure their impact on readiness
  • Evaluate logistics aspects of equipment fielding and determine maintenance and stockage requirements for C-UAS products
  • Requisition equipment as directed and assess repair/spare-parts supply support impacts on materiel fielding
  • Present recommendations to improve fielding efficiency and repair/spare-parts requisitioning
  • Assist in developing Materiel Fielding/Transfer Plans
  • Help leadership, system managers, and gaining commands draft supply documents
  • Develop, coordinate, and distribute equipment lists for complete systems, including items managed by other commands, contractors, and technical services
  • Participate in planning and programming for equipment deployment and initial worldwide support
  • Coordinate supply actions for authorized repair parts according to deployment and fielding schedules
  • Distribute equipment and repair parts to commands and agencies
  • Establish contacts with installations, depots, and supply agencies; coordinate and expedite requisitions and supply directives
  • Monitor supply actions and coordinate follow-up to meet delivery dates
  • Participate in conferences, meetings, IPTs, and study groups concerning field support, materiel deployment, and logistics problems

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Current Secret Security Clearance required
  • 25% CONUS and OCONUS travel required
  • High school diploma and 8–10 years of relevant experience, or BS degree and 6–8 years of relevant experience required
  • Valid driver’s license required
  • Must be able to obtain a military driver’s license
  • Ability to lift heavy equipment, including some two-person carry requirements
  • Ability to work in Government warehouse facilities, military airfields, Government test sites, equipment storage yards, defense contractor facilities, and office facilities
  • Ability to work in inclement weather conditions
  • Ability to travel to military test events and perform equipment inventories
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Adobe Acrobat Pro
  • Prior experience in all aspects of government property management, including procurement, maintenance, inventory, disposal, storage, transfer, site audits, custodial inventories, survey reports, and property administration
  • Proven experience using the Catalog Ordering Logistics Tracking System (COLTS); a certificate may be requested
  • Familiarity and proven experience creating, updating, and issuing DA3161, DA2062, and DD1149 supply documents
  • Ability to independently analyze and resolve difficult or unusual issues and problems
  • Preferred: familiarity with loading and unloading equipment onto vehicles and pallets and loading cargo onto and off military aircraft
  • Preferred: broad logistics operations knowledge or significant expertise across logistics fields
  • Preferred: extensive daily inventory management and shipping/receiving experience
  • Preferred: experience implementing IUID and RFID technology
