About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Contribute to the development of innovative software solutions supporting Australia's Defence capabilities.
- Work closely with engineers, project managers and technical specialists throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Design, develop and implement high-quality software solutions.
- Work within a collaborative Agile environment.
- Drive continuous improvement and technical excellence across projects.
- Develop high-quality software in accordance with relevant standards and processes.
- Contribute to all agile software development sprint events.
- Assist with task decomposition and estimation of work.
- Assist with system testing, including performance and unit testing.
- Assist with system documentation.
- Represent KBR professionally and adhere to KBR policies and practices.
- Perform other tasks as directed by KBR management.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Holds a Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field.
- Minimum 7 years of experience in a similar role.
- ASP.Net, C#, HTML, JavaScript.
- Microsoft SQL Server and Transact-SQL including Stored Procedures.
- Object Oriented Programming (OOP).
- Unit Testing.
- Azure DevOps (ADO/TFS)
- Experience developing in Microsoft Visual Studio.
- Experience developing using an agile methodology (Agile/Scrum).
- Experience working in a software development environment using the Microsoft software development & test product stack.
- Experience developing applications for Defence networks.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent organisation/prioritisation skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical colleagues.
- Must hold and maintain an active NV1 Defence Security Clearance; only candidates holding NV1 Clearance or above should apply.
- AGSVA security clearance required.
- Compliance to International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
