About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Collate and understand complex customer requirements and present them clearly
  • Generate proposals and bids
  • Provide project and technical oversight throughout the project lifecycle
  • Design application modules, classes and methods for the team
  • Manage high-risk projects to meet time, cost and quality expectations
  • Establish and lead enduring client relationships
  • Implement DevOps pipelines across the Software Development Lifecycle
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to less experienced team members
  • Work across all stages of the Software Development Lifecycle, including UX and GUI design, application implementation, deployment and improvement of in-service software
  • Support customers in delivering novel technologies, approaches and software

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Background in science, mathematics, engineering or computer science
  • Proven demonstrable experience of software development illustrating interest in modern programming technologies
  • Ability to discuss and present complex topics in an understandable way
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to enable internal and external network development
  • Experience with software development languages and technologies such as C#, C++, Python, Java, JavaScript, TypeScript, Angular or React
  • Ability to satisfy clearance criteria for UK National Security Vetting
  • Willingness to undergo pre-employment screening
