About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Develop new business and maintain existing business in the Southeast region of the United States
  • Achieve or exceed territory sales goals by maintaining existing business, expanding existing accounts, and growing new business
  • Identify and establish potential customers through prospecting, qualifying, and engaging new leads
  • Use advanced selling skills to understand client needs, create value propositions, and close sales opportunities
  • Learn and demonstrate expertise in KCAS services and technologies
  • Document customer meetings, emails, and phone conversations in Salesforce CRM
  • Support development and submission of customer proposals and Statements of Work
  • Maintain accounts and contacts in Salesforce and HubSpot
  • Provide daily updates on current sales-pipeline opportunities in Salesforce
  • Prepare materials for vendor exhibitions and professional conferences
  • Build positive awareness of the KCAS brand through conferences and social media
  • Perform other assigned duties

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree with at least 7 years of experience in the life sciences industry, including 3–5 years in a direct selling role or client management
  • Experience selling complex bioanalytical services across LC-MS/MS, ligand binding assays, flow cytometry, and molecular platforms such as PCR/qPCR/ddPCR/NGS within regulated GLP/GCP environments
  • Proven ability to close complex, technical service contracts
  • Previous client-facing interaction required; CRO/CDMO industry experience preferred
  • Proven ability to set and achieve sales targets and build excellent relationships with new and existing customers
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to be a self-starter and entrepreneurial while collaborating with internal colleagues
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word; MS Project a plus
  • Proactive and able to work and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and strong problem-solving ability
