About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support and enable deployment of the Kenco Operating System (KOS) at the assigned site
  • Advise on project selection, definition, prioritization, and completion
  • Provide regular feedback and updates on active projects
  • Assist site leadership with KOS culture, practices, implementation plans, and execution
  • Facilitate and coach site-level KOS training
  • Provide ongoing education in data-driven business improvement methods
  • Manage site KOS deployment on an ongoing basis
  • Coach and mentor leaders and associates on standard work, quality management systems, work measurement, Lean, Six Sigma, financial management, project management, and effective training
  • Calculate financial costs and benefits of process changes and validate results
  • Instill KOS ownership through training, mentoring, coaching, and technical support
  • Influence leadership on KOS principles, processes, and tools
  • Partner with network leaders on KOS deployment and action plans, maturity assessments, and phase gate reviews
  • Share KOS knowledge and updates with Continuous Improvement Leaders and teams across the organization
  • Drive breakthrough performance and solutions through proactive problem solving
  • Present data to internal and external customers
  • Perform process mapping, value stream mapping, process design, methods development, performance standards and metrics, ROI analysis, and project management
  • Issue written and oral instructions as needed
  • Assign duties and examine work for exactness, neatness, and policy conformance
  • Coach employees to improve performance and expand skills

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s Degree from a four-year college or university in a related discipline; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 6-8 years of relevant experience
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification, Lean Six Sigma Black Belt or Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt; at least, detailed examples of experience in lean manufacturing techniques
  • Technical competencies in Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, Process Management, ISO, Change Management and advanced statistical techniques
  • Basic knowledge of Material Handling Equipment and other machinery
  • Ability to interface with all levels and areas of an organization, establish close working relationships, and build consensus for chosen solutions
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, proportions, percentages, and area
  • Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry
  • Ability to interpret written, oral, diagram or schedule instructions
  • Ability to read, interpret, and write safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
  • Experience using statistical software such as Minitab, Crystal Ball, Statistic, SPC XL, SPSS, etc.
  • Competence using Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
  • Ability to quantify impact to process metrics and financials
  • Skill in coaching/mentoring in on-the-job application of new skills
  • Ability to travel approximately 25% or less
