About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Facilitate prospective students through the application process for their university of choice
- Uncover prospective students’ needs and objectives through interviews
- Help students determine whether a program or university is a suitable fit
- Support students through admissions and registration to ensure requirements and deadlines are met
- Communicate with prospective students by phone, email, and text
- Follow departmental and management guidelines for lead management and CRM status progression
- Provide consultative support from lead through program start
- Track student progress and communications in the database
- Achieve daily metrics for calls, speed to lead, talk time, and applications
- Provide feedback on lead quality, quantity, and trends
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree required
- 2-3 years of sales experience, preferably in an outbound call center
- Demonstrated critical thinking, decision-making, and problem-solving skills
- General knowledge of higher education and/or college admissions and recruitment experience preferred
- Technically proficient
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Goal-oriented with demonstrated ability to meet sales targets
- Supervisory management skills and ability to oversee delegated tasks
- Proven ability to provide training and explain processes and procedures
- Knowledge of planning processes and issues
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Experience with CRM systems preferred
- Self-motivated and proactive
- Able to multitask
- Strong attention to detail
- Customer service skills
- Team player
- Understanding of the higher education and post-secondary education sector preferred
- Suitable home workspace with a flat surface, unobstructed Wi-Fi, internet speed of at least 25 Mbps download and 3 Mbps upload, power outlet, quiet space, and good lighting
