About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Champion data quality across platforms, pipelines and reporting solutions
Test and validate data transformations, integrations and data products
Develop and maintain automated testing solutions
Partner with Data Engineers, Analysts and Product teams to define quality standards and embed best practices
Investigate data issues, identify root causes and implement sustainable solutions
Validate dashboards, reports and analytics products
Contribute to QA frameworks, testing practices and data governance standards
Help shape quality engineering within a modern cloud-based data environment

Requirements

What you’ll need

Experience in Data QA, Data Engineering, Software Testing or a related technical field
Strong SQL skills and ability to validate, analyse and troubleshoot data
Experience testing data pipelines, data warehouses, reporting solutions or analytics platforms
Exposure to automated testing, scripting or programming languages such as Python
Strong understanding of data quality principles
Excellent problem-solving skills
Ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders
Collaborative mindset, growth mentality and eagerness to learn new technologies and approaches
Experience with modern cloud data platforms such as Microsoft Fabric, Snowflake or similar technologies highly regarded
Candidates must reside in Malaysia with full working rights
