About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Gain hands-on experience in the Feed Livestock & Grain Business Unit.
- Learn to advise on local grain markets and ingredient purchasing.
- Learn to coordinate truck and rail operations.
- Learn and follow safety and OSHA laws/guidelines.
- Learn and apply USDA grain grading standards.
- Track and map grain and feed ingredient flows throughout terminal facilities.
- Learn to operate PLC equipment to load feed delivery trucks.
- Learn to load and unload railcars and perform rail loading duties.
- Assist with housekeeping and maintenance of facility grounds.
- Assist with equipment maintenance.
- Communicate activities, needs and accomplishments with management.
- Complete a capstone project and present it to senior leadership.
Requirements
What you’ll need- At least one prior internship preferred.
- Pursuing a degree in an Agriculture related field.
- Must have a valid driver’s license, good driving record, and reliable vehicle.
- Ability to use Microsoft apps and programs.
- Currently enrolled in accredited college or university.
