Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science (or equivalent)
1–3 years of medium to large scale server-side software development experience
Good knowledge of CS fundamentals: data structures, algorithm time complexity, and databases
Good knowledge of a backend programming language such as Java, Python, Node, or Clojure
Hands-on experience with AI coding assistants such as Cursor for code generation, fast context lookup, and refactoring
Knowledge of POSIX-compliant operating systems, including Mac OS X and GNU/Linux
Experience writing unit, functional, and regression tests
Experience with distributed version control tools, particularly Git
Good verbal and written communication skills
Strong work ethic, teamwork, ownership, and collaboration
Knowledge of functional programming is a plus
Experience with YugabyteDB, MongoDB, Redis, Elasticsearch, Kafka, or PostgreSQL at scale is good to have
Experience benchmarking systems for performance and failure detection is good to have
