About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Manage localization projects of different sizes, genres, and platforms
- Estimate and plan projects from start to finish, including contingencies
- Document and update project workflows and technical processes
- Lead project planning, kick-off, and ongoing project-related meetings
- Understand project scope and requirements with clients and internal teams
- Advise clients on best practices, processes, and timelines
- Monitor and coordinate production, QA, risk mitigation, CAPA, resourcing, and postmortem processes
- Coordinate project resourcing with the Global Resource Management Team
- Oversee schedules, work plans, resources, quality, profitability, and on-time delivery
- Communicate daily with clients regarding issues, specification changes, deadlines, and project matters
- Liaise with external vendors and internal resources
- Build working relationships with global project management teams
- Make independent decisions while following company and client standards
- Communicate with clients to understand goals, expectations, needs, and concerns
- Escalate and investigate complaints and project risks
- Contribute to process and tool improvement initiatives
- Input sales and purchasing financial data for invoicing, cost control, and quoting
- Monitor project costs, profit margins, forecasts, quotes, WIP, accruals, and pre-invoice checks
- Manage vendor cost estimates and ensure procedural compliance
- Ensure project sustainability, budget adherence, profitability, quality, and client retention
- Maintain accurate and complete project reporting data
- Support new team members and help prepare training plans
- Take responsibility for personal learning and training needs
Requirements
What you’ll need- Experience in video games and/or localization sectors, on the client or vendor side
- Degree in Business, Audio, Translation, Computer Science, or Games Development is an advantage
- Knowledge of production and/or CAT tools is an advantage
- Good knowledge of PC and MS Office products
- Excellent English verbal and written communication skills
- A second language is a plus
- Ability to prioritize tasks using good judgment
- Good organizational and analytical skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a remote, fast-paced, complex global environment
- Ability to manage sensitive and confidential information
- Motivation and ability to work as part of a team
- Willingness to undertake personal learning and training
- Ability to effectively apply business-specific technology and methodologies
