About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Analyze in-game text to validate grammar, syntax, spelling, and proper localization on mobile platforms.
- Review and perform exhaustive Italian language tests to ensure text and audio respect cultural aspects, remain in context, and are consistent throughout.
- Test, identify, record, and suggest fixes for language, implementation, and user interface issues.
- Verify linguistic accuracy and check typographical, grammatical, and punctuation errors.
- Collaborate with German translators, in-house linguists, and external vendors.
- Verify correct implementation and display of localized text.
- Ensure consistency and use of approved terminology.
- Assess cultural appropriateness and politically sensitive content.
- Identify, isolate, and document localization bugs in a bug database.
- Verify that bugs are fixed and implemented correctly.
- Run test cases and checklists.
- Support German translators with linguistic tasks when required.
- Build knowledge of video games, game mechanics, and debug menus.
- Collaborate with the team to create test cases from existing templates.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Native level German speaker.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, both in German and English.
- Strong interest in video games and the gaming industry.
- Outstanding attention to detail.
- Good PC knowledge and proficient knowledge of Google Workspace is ideal.
- Ability to write accurate, unambiguous and concise documentation in English and your native language.
- Strong interpersonal skills and experience working with different cultures.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Ability to cope under pressure and work with tight deadlines.
- Team-oriented and collaborative.
- University Degree, equivalent qualification and/or relevant experience in related fields is an advantage.
- +1 year experience in localization QA is an advantage.
- Familiarity with bug tracking and/or task management platforms, such as Jira or Trello, is an advantage.
- Copywriting, editing, or translation experience is an advantage.
