About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support the design and implementation of compensation programs by Global Rewards Team to ensure market competitiveness.
  • Participate in salary benchmarking exercises and labor market surveys to determine prevailing pay practices.
  • Administer employee benefits programs, including health initiatives, insurance, and wellness activities.
  • Support and assist monthly payroll-related processes and timekeeping/attendance tracking.
  • Respond to employee queries related to compensation and benefits in a timely manner.
  • Assist in updating and implementing C&B policies and procedures.
  • Prepare and submit regular C&B reports and support audits by providing required documentation.
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with local labor laws and regulations.
  • Support government-related submissions, including maternity, paternity, and other statutory leave claims.
  • Stay updated on market trends and HR best practices.
  • Undertake additional duties as assigned from time to time.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in HR, preferably in Compensation & Benefits or a generalist role.
  • Hands-on experience in payroll, timekeeping, and HR operations.
  • Experience in data collection, reporting, and analysis.
  • Prior experience in a multinational or global organization is preferred.
  • Proven ability to engage and communicate with diverse stakeholders.
  • Proficient in Microsoft applications and other database application programs.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and HR systems/databases (Workday).
  • Bilingual proficiency in Japanese and English (spoken and written).
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to handle data accurately.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to work across all levels of the organization.
