About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Oversee daily automation result reviews and step in directly when needed to keep scheduled runs moving.
Triage escalated or unclear failures across scripts, tools, platforms, devices, environments, game builds, reporting, or game-side issues.
Route failures to the right owner with clear evidence, follow-up, and recorded outcomes.
Lead automation intake and lifecycle reviews, confirming clear goals, acceptance criteria, and named specification ownership.
Use dashboards and automation results to assess automation health, recurring failures, flakiness, usage, and upkeep cost.
Recommend whether automation should start, continue, pause, or retire based on evidence and project priorities.
Plan, assign, coach, and support Keywords automation analysts, including an analyst embedded with a mobile team using AI-assisted testing tools.
Review analyst automation work before code review, provide guidance on design and standards, and contribute development work when operating duties allow.
Maintain runbooks, triage guides, intake guidance, escalation paths, and onboarding material.

Requirements

What you’ll need

4+ years in game QA, test automation, or tools development, including hands-on experience running, debugging, maintaining, or building automated tests on Unreal Engine or Unity projects.
Experience in a QA lead or similar role, including planning work, mentoring others, and communicating status, risks, and trade-offs.
Experience owning a daily operational process such as build verification, automation review, or incident triage.
Ability to write, review, and debug Python automation code, including object-oriented design.
Comfort working with PC, console, and mobile SDKs or dev kits, including build installation, kit tools, and device or kit troubleshooting.
Strong understanding of QA workflows, test passes, regression testing, bug lifecycles, milestone support, and in-game debug processes.
Ability to read logs, interpret automation dashboards such as Grafana, and communicate findings clearly.
Working knowledge of Jira, Kanban, and planning across concurrent projects with changing priorities.
Strong coaching, onboarding, written communication, and spoken communication skills in English.
C++, Unreal Blueprints, Verse, PowerShell, SQL, REST APIs, JSON, CSV, or command-line tools are nice to have.
Experience with CI or build systems such as TeamCity or Jenkins, Perforce, automation scheduling, dashboards, alerts, or console automation rigs is nice to have.
Experience with AI-assisted testing, agent-based mobile testing, game telemetry, or QA tooling is nice to have.
Diploma, certificate, or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field is nice to have.
