About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Manage regional sales team activities in alignment with the company business plan and philosophy
  • Direct and manage regional sales team efforts and performance to maximize profitability, market share, and sales volume
  • Build a high-performing team through coaching, development, performance management, field visits, and business reviews
  • Lead the regional sales team to achieve sales goals
  • Support strategic plans for future growth and profitability
  • Manage sales team expenses within company policy
  • Manage annual sales quotas for territory sales team members in support of the compensation plan
  • Plan, prepare, and lead Quarterly Business Reviews covering quota and budget performance, pipeline health, win/loss trends, key-account trends, and action plans
  • Document and track QBR commitments and action items to completion
  • Develop market-needs information and provide ongoing product improvement input
  • Manage existing markets and key accounts and ensure market penetration
  • Monitor competitive offerings and implement appropriate regional sales tactics
  • Provide feedback to the region team and internal collaborators for revenue growth and process improvements
  • Conduct one-on-ones, field rides, and joint sales calls to coach selling skills, pipeline management, and account strategy
  • Create and maintain individual development plans for team members
  • Monitor quota attainment, pipeline coverage, conversion, and core selling activities
  • Address performance gaps through coaching, documentation, measurable improvement goals, and formal Performance Improvement Plans
  • Partner with Human Resources on performance management and progressive corrective action
  • Make evidence-based talent decisions involving recognition, advancement, and accountability
  • Maintain confidentiality and uphold company values, ethical conduct, safety, quality, and other company requirements
  • Travel frequently throughout the region to visit customers and coach and mentor the sales team
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or a related field
  • 5+ years of Complex Rehab Sales Management experience
  • Demonstrated experience coaching and developing sales professionals and managing team performance, including formal performance improvement processes
  • Strong business acumen
  • Negotiation and presentation skills
  • Analytical skills for solving complex problems and making informed decisions
  • Ability to communicate effectively in a team problem-solving environment
  • Proven ability to coach, develop, and manage sales team performance, including addressing underperformance constructively and decisively
  • Ability to lift and handle wheelchairs and assist with setup of trade shows and exhibition stands
  • Ability to observe and identify details
  • Ability to work extended hours as scheduled, including weekends
  • Frequent travel throughout the Southern region, including possible 2–3 or more overnight/hotel accommodation nights per week depending on territory size
  • Ability to complete all physical requirements of the position
