About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Design and implement VDC strategy throughout the project life cycle, from design and construction through facilities management
- Provide leadership and guidance for BIM implementation
- Work with internal departments to understand processes and assist with implementing VDC processes
- Represent Clark in VDC presentations to clients and industry groups
- Establish VDC goals and objectives
- Develop BIM workflows, best practices, QA/QC, and value propositions
- Manage and implement VDC project setup processes
- Facilitate BIM meetings and design or MEP coordination sessions
- Interact regularly with jobsites and maintain awareness of project VDC implementations
- Train personnel on BIM capabilities
- Facilitate collaboration among VDC personnel, including sharing best practices and lessons learned
- Participate in industry speaking opportunities and focus groups
- Lead and participate in strategic VDC/BIM initiatives
Requirements
What you’ll need- 4–6+ years of experience overseeing project development and delivery
- Minimum two years of on-site experience
- Demonstrated leadership with project teams at a local/regional level
- Intermediate knowledge of BIM and VDC software, including Revit, Dynamo, Navisworks, Synchro, Assemble, and SketchUp
- Excellent knowledge of BIM processes used for MEP coordination in project delivery
- Exceptional presentation and training skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work well as part of a team and independently
- Drive to pursue continued education in VDC
- Ability to manage priorities with minimal guidance
- Active membership in appropriate professional organizations
- Alignment with Clark Standards of Excellence
- Ability to work on active construction sites with uneven terrain, stairs, ladders, hoists, elevated or confined work areas, moving mechanical equipment, variable weather, and moderate to loud noise
- Ability to frequently lift and carry up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds
- Ability to communicate effectively and read plans and inspect work visually
- Flexibility to work extended hours and respond to time-sensitive matters or emergencies
- Must complete pre-employment drug “fitness for duty” screening and participate in random quarterly drug “fitness for duty” tests
