About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Manage and grow relationships with Key Accounts and other designated accounts within a specified market
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned accounts
  • Achieve assigned revenue targets
  • Develop and execute collaborative programs with Kiva’s retail partners
  • Build relationships and identify and close new business opportunities within the assigned territory
  • Manage and expand sales within existing accounts and proactively prospect for new business
  • Build relationships with owners, buyers, dispensary managers, budtenders, and other stakeholders
  • Collaborate with Trade Marketing Managers and retail partners on promotional programs, incentives/contests, displays and merchandising, product launches, brand and product training, and other sales-driving initiatives
  • Use data and analytics for decision-making, strategy development, and performance measurement
  • Identify new business opportunities, target new accounts, and expand Kiva brands and product distribution
  • Contribute to KPIs related to field activities, sales, distribution, and brand awareness
  • Manage daily retailer interactions and field activities in Salesforce, including maintaining contact information, logging interactions, and managing follow-up tasks
  • Report directly to the Senior Sales Manager

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Associate or Bachelors’ degree in Business, Marketing or equivalent experience required
  • 5+ years of experience leading and managing Key Account relationships, with a proven track record of generating significant revenue
  • Minimum of 5 years sales experience in CPG, spirits/wine/beer and/or cannabis highly preferred
  • Proficient in Google Suite and Microsoft Office
  • Experience using distribution ERP is a plus
  • Must have reliable transportation and be able to pass Motor Vehicle Report requirements
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, written, and verbal skills
  • Experience working with a well-recognized, premium brand company
  • Passion for the cannabis industry
  • Unquestionable integrity, strong interpersonal skills, sense of urgency, and strategic, approachable style
  • Ability to collaborate with field marketing and use category and shopper insights
  • Problem-solving, solution-oriented attitude, and effective negotiation skills
  • Proven ability to sell premium products in price-sensitive markets
  • Excellent customer service, organization, attention to detail, and knowledge of competitive trends
  • Ability to build and exert influence internally and externally
