About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Advance Kiva's public relations and thought leadership goals with the Director
Support the day-to-day PR firm relationship
Use borrower stories, impact statistics, and outcome metrics to support media opportunities
Own Muck Rack, including tracking, reporting, trend monitoring, and localized media lists
Maintain PR-ready resources for partners
Lead localized pitching for smaller-scale and community-based media coverage
Identify and elevate PR and thought leadership opportunities
Identify, shape, and execute public-facing partner campaigns end-to-end
Collaborate with Marketing and Creative teams on campaign briefs, assets, and content
Own Kiva's LinkedIn strategy and day-to-day channel management
Amplify thought leadership narratives across key channels, conferences, panels, awards, and industry events
Own Communications & Influence team reporting and surface performance trends
Share learnings, insights, and campaign results across teams and partners
Maintain Confluence intranet resources

Requirements

What you’ll need

Authorization to work in the United States on a permanent, full-time basis
No visa sponsorship available
Demonstrated experience in public relations and media relations, including direct media pitching, journalist relationship management, and securing earned coverage
Experience developing and executing thought leadership strategy
Experience managing multi-partner communications or marketing campaigns
Skilled at pitching media and maintaining journalist relationships
Experience translating data and stories into pitch-ready narratives
Experience with or managing a PR agency relationship
Demonstrated creative writing skills, thought leadership, content creation, and media pitch development
Ability to synthesize impact data, borrower stories, and outcome metrics into PR materials
Experience coordinating public-facing campaigns across multiple stakeholders
Ability to manage campaign timelines, deliverables, and approvals cross-functionally
Experience owning and growing a brand's presence on LinkedIn or a comparable professional channel
Familiarity with securing speaking, panel, awards, and/or conference opportunities
Comfort working with reporting and analytics tools
Preferred: experience working within a PR agency or managing a PR agency relationship client-side
Preferred: working knowledge of Sprout or equivalent, Air or equivalent, Looker or equivalent, Dovetail or equivalent, and Salesforce or equivalent
