About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Track progress and quality of on-site implementation engineers and ensure project timelines are met
  • Support and guide Implementation Engineers with jobsite organization and prioritization
  • Oversee and coordinate jobsite resource planning, including turnarounds and vacations, with a four-week minimum look-ahead
  • Report team availability deviations and additional resource needs to line, site, and project managers
  • Coordinate resolution of mechatronic issues with installation, mechanical and electrical engineering, commissioning, and development departments
  • Oversee, schedule, and verify the quality and completeness of on-site implementation tasks
  • Coordinate KNAPP, customer, and third-party vendor stakeholders according to established schedules
  • Align with the IT Core team weekly, as applicable
  • Walk the site approximately twice daily to assess progress, identify risks and challenges, and report to the Project Manager
  • Conduct weekly risk assessments, report findings, and implement aligned countermeasures
  • Assist with network and server installation topics as the on-site responsible person
  • Support project core team leads with reporting and tracking technical progress and cost status
  • Validate progress-tracking results with the Site and Project Manager
  • Use KNAPP standard tools for open-issue tracking across third-party integration, controls, IT infrastructure, and software
  • Facilitate weekly on-site implementation team meetings
  • Attend relevant project and department meetings and provide accurate weekly updates
  • Support KNAPP internal and customer testing in coordination with test leads
  • Document internal test results with DevOps and KiSoft Analytics and share daily results with stakeholders
  • Coordinate end-to-end testing with third-party equipment across KiSoft One, SRC, PLC, and machine control systems
  • Serve as customer point of contact during UAT, CIT, and FAT testing
  • Serve as customer point of contact during go-live and ramp-up
  • Coordinate customer change and bug-fix release installation under established RfC change-management rules with ITPM

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • B.S. in Industrial Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent work experience
  • 3+ years' experience with implementation of projects throughout the entirety of the project’s life cycle
  • Intermediate knowledge of project management and project management tools
  • Intermediate to Advanced knowledge of computer systems and Windows operating system
  • Advanced organizational and problem-solving abilities
  • Intermediate financial acumen and budget management experience
  • Effective verbal and written collaboration and communication skills
  • Intermediate knowledge of industry standards, regulations, and industry best practices
  • Intermediate to Advanced knowledge of mechatronics systems (preferred)
  • Intermediate knowledge of KNAPP procedures and processes (preferred)
  • English required; bilingual preferred
  • Travel required (up to 90%) or willingness to relocate to the assigned project for over 1 year
  • Authorization to work in the U.S.
  • Passport or ability to obtain passport
  • Professional office etiquette required
  • Ability to comply with KNAPP’s drug-free workplace policy and required drug screening
  • Physical ability may include extended sitting, standing, walking, climbing a ladder, speaking, visual acuity, finger dexterity, listening, reaching at arm’s length, and lifting up to 50 pounds
