About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support, develop, test, and implement PLC programs for automated logistics systems
- Lead the design and development of control systems
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and technicians
- Diagnose and resolve control-system issues
- Prepare detailed technical documentation and reports on system performance and project progress
- Travel to assigned U.S. client sites as required
Requirements
What you’ll need- Must have 7 years of experience as a PLC or Commissioning Engineer or Technician
- Experience programming Siemens PLC using Step 7 of TIA Portal
- Programming experience in Ladder, SCL and STL
- Experience utilizing AS-I and Profi bus systems to program/configure AS-I Master systems
- Experience setting up and configuring industrial barcode scanners, including SICK and Datalogic
- Experience configuring and calibrating various brands of Frequency Drives
- Frequent travel (60%) to U.S. client sites required
- Less than 10% international travel
- Overtime required, averaging 6 hours per week
- Must adhere to KNAPP's drug-free workplace policy and complete drug screening
- Must remain drug-free during employment
