About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Independently prepare projects as an initial stage of project implementation
  • Program and configure SCADA software packages
  • Create, maintain, and improve commissioning documentation
  • Train customers on SCADA technology
  • Support commissioners through feedback and collective troubleshooting
  • Align with supervisors and collateral colleagues to complete daily processes efficiently
  • Coordinate with commissioners to remotely test relevant signals
  • Abide by KNAPP safety guidelines and regulations on-site
  • Train customers and maintenance teams on SCADA technology
  • Verify electrical schematics against the final on-site installation
  • Coordinate daily job duties at customer sites with involved parties, customers, and internal departments
  • Coordinate with commissioners to test relevant signals at customer sites

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field required
  • Intermediate general computer skills
  • Intermediate Linux skills
  • Intermediate HTML, CSS, Python, Java Script, and C++ skills
  • Intermediate SCADA, OPC, Atvise, and SQL concept knowledge
  • Intermediate networking concept knowledge
  • Intermediate electrical concept knowledge
  • Intermediate PLC and subsystems understanding
  • Authorization to work in the U.S.
  • Passport or ability to obtain passport
  • Professional office etiquette is required at all times
  • Ability to comply with KNAPP’s drug-free workplace policy and required drug screening
  • Ability to travel 30–40% when traveling to customer sites, or 20% or less when relocating or local to the customer site
  • Ability to perform physical requirements including sitting, stooping, bending, visual acuity, finger dexterity, walking, and lifting up to 50 pounds
